Do You See?
Surprises always come as a surprise. Ah, tautology!
Came across something just recently. Don’t remember if I was informed about it earlier.
Shillong-based poet and columnist Ananya S Guha, also an educator, had his article out in Boloji.com. “Poetry is Fiction” mentions my name alongside a few other well known Northeast poets. Ananya himself is a prolific poet. To have his word does feel good. And to be named among poets from the Northeast is honorable beyond doubt. To quote from the article:
“In North East India there is an overflowing of talent: Robin Ngangom, Desmond Kharmawphlang, Janice Pariat, Kynpham Nonkynrih, Nabina Das, Nitoo Das, Aruni Kashyap, Nabanita Kanungo etc. There is a cultural matrix and earthy immediacy in their poems, making for lyrical and effective reading. “
Short but Sweet.
So, we all meet to greet on Sesame Street!
Well done America.
And those that had said what, is it Yo Mama or Alabama, the reply is: OBAMA!
The beginning of November has been written about in my earlier post. Cursorily.
I have a Rita Dove poem here this time, although we don’t have any snow in my town. I just have the softening of the sky. Relief? Not sure about that. Read on.

Even I wait, “breeding mood”. Like that deer in new November snow. But I told ya, no snow here!
