Do You See?
Three days of a strange whirlwind trip out of country. Happens to lots of people, no doubt. For me, however, everything has come to signify a whirlwind these days.
Official work took me to University of Exeter, Cornwall campus, in southern UK. From April 23 to 26.
Still coming out of the jetlag. And peripheral experience loads resulting from the trip.
Anyway, from 40+C to 6 C and back. Won’t you agree that’s doing more than your normal routine in the general scheme of things? Apart from official work, what else did I do?
I ate Cornish clotted cream, quite a bit of fresh fish, and enjoyed some engaging company. Something seemed just too wonderful and easy to relate to. Wish I could put that all in a straightjacket and pack it all up. Can’t. At the same time, something remained elusive. That’s what good memories are about, right? Attaching a few photographs for your happiness. More should come.
A few things of interest.
We said, “Oh, we’ll still eat these!”, as the servers were clearing the table. Perhaps we did.
I always post a poem with my little accounts. This time various references to canonical writing got me unthinking. I found myself humming this:
BY MOTHER GOOSE
Source: The Dorling Kindersley Book of Nursery Rhymes (2000)
And somehow it was relevant when I returned home, after a whole 16 hrs journey through Gatwick, Dubai, to Hyderabad.
